Opening the 12-12 Event: Director of the Netherlands Helsinki Committee, Harry Hummel
Harry Hummel is the director of the Netherlands Helskinki Committee, a human rights organisation aimed at strengthening human rights advocates and the rule of law, specifically in Eastern European countries. He previously worked for Amnesty International as a Board Member, Head of the Action Section, Strategy Manager, and Interim Director. He also worked for Front Line, an organisation aimed at protecting human rights defenders. In 2008, he was the Executive Secretary of the first Human Rights Tulip Award.
